Abstract This essay aims to investigate the function of urban space in Toni Morrison’s The Bluest Eye through approach proposed by cultural geographers, such as Edward Soja, David Harvey, and Don Mitchell, who link with questions justice/injustice. At same time, considers some valuable insights Black Geographies scholars like George Lipsitz, argues that an analysis relations between power place always needs consider factor race. For their political implications focus on justice, power, race, these two approaches might be particularly suitable for reading Morrison, whose oeuvre is openly involved denunciation injustices social/racial tensions US contemporary scenario a specific African American communities. Framing her novels from vantage geography reveals into characters’ geographies.
